Getting Started is easy!
Everyone can climb, young, old, fit, not so fit perhaps?. It’s a great way to an all round work-out and you get to enjoy the thrill of climbing.
Never climbed before? Not a problem, we can take you from your first step off the ground through to climbing on real rock.
How do I get started?
Well for most people we would recommend our beginner course as the ideal way to start. It runs over a three week period, each session being two hours long. We will teach you how to belay your partner and safely lower them on a top roped climb. You will be shown and taught how to use the different types of equipment available and made aware of all the safety issues surrounding use of an indoor wall. And of course you will get to do lots of climbing and meet other people also just starting out.
How to book a Beginner Course
If you have climbed before and are looking for a refresher, you might want to consider the Rock Club. This is a club session supported by at least one of the High Sports instructors. They are there to provide guidance or training tips to help you get the most out of your climbing session. The Rock Club is also a great way to meet other climbers.
Still not sure? Well we also run Taster sessions which enable you to get on the wall immediately. these one hour sessions provide a introduction to the thrill of climbing. You will be with an instructor the whole time so no previous experience is necessary and we will provide all the equipment you need.
