Junior Clubs

We are constantly amazed by our Junior Tigers. Starting from age 4, we introduce them to climbing in a safe and controlled environment. It doesn’t take long before they are scaling the heights and demonstrating some very cool climbing moves.

We take our junior climbing very seriously and operate a number of clubs suitable for each age group.

Pebbles are our youngest climbers, starting at age 4 through to age 7. This is climbing just for fun in small, supervised groups. Each Pebbles session lasts 1 hour and the children will be provided with full body harnesses and helmets. We ask parents to remain in the viewing area for the duration of the session, just in case there are any wobbles.

Junior Tigers for ages 7 to 11, is where we start to teach children how to climb and belay each other. For several years now we have operated a log book scheme as part of the Junior Tiger Club. This is a progressive learning programme and encourages each Tiger to keep extending their skills by regular review and sign-off.

1215 Rock Club is for our older juniors aged 12 to 15 and while it is still suitable for complete beginners, the club has a more adult theme to it. the instructors are able to push on with the training and, where appropriate, start introducing more advanced climbing and coaching skills. For those interested we will also introduce competition climbing to the sessions.
