High Sports Bouldering Championship 2010

 Welcome to the High Sports Bouldering Championship 2011

The HSBC is a bouldering competition for climbers in London and the South East. It was new in 2010 and we are looking forward to this second year being bigger and better! Each round of the championship will take place at a High Sports venue.

The format will be familiar to those who compete regularly in competitions, although if you haven’t competed before this is a great way to get started. We make sure someone is present at every round to help the novices and the Team category has been designed with beginners in mind.

Trophies are awarded every round as well as some great gear, supplied by our sponsors.

For the Male Open and Female Open points are cumulative throughout the championship.  At the end of the final round all the points will be tallied and the top 5 competitors from these 2 categories will go head to head in a Super Final.  The scores will be reset and everything will be to climb for!  At the end, prizes will be awarded as follows:

Male Open 1st £1000 2nd £500 3rd £250 4th £125 5th £75
Female Open 1st £1000 2nd £500 3rd £250 4th £125 5th £75

Calling all Competition Novices

  • Think you’re not strong enough to compete?

WRONG!

The HSBC is exactly the competition for you. Firstly, we will have staff on hand to coach you through the competition. Hints and Tips and bags of encouragement.  Secondly, there is a category aimed at novices to give every beginner a chance to compete with like-minded climbers. Alternatively, why not enter as a team? We will put together teams on the day for each round so if you’re short of a few team members don’t worry. Teams score as a unit so no-one needs to know how many points you accumulated.

There is also the Maximum Effort award each round so it's not just about winning.
