Kids Club Memberships.
From January 2026 we will be changing the way that all of our Kids Clubs are booked. Below is a summary of the key changes that will be taking place:
New pricing structure: £76 per month
Rolling monthly payments
Instead of term bookings, we will be moving to monthly rolling payments instead. These will be set up similar to a direct debit where we will take payment on the 1st of each month.
Benefits to you:
No more worrying about missing rebooking, once you are booked on, you will stay on until you decide to cancel.
Payments are spread out evenly across the year. Instead of having to pay a large amount upfront, you will only be paying for 1 month at a time, which should make things easier to budget.
No January price rises: Prices will remain the same per session for a minimum of 6 months.
Year round sessions
As part of this change, we will also be moving to year round sessions. In the past we have followed the school term times but this makes it much harder for us to schedule regular instructors for each session. This means that there is less continuity and also makes it harder for us to give fixed contracts to our team as we are unable to guarantee the work in the holiday months. By moving to year round sessions, it will makes a massive difference for the efficiency of our business and is one of the main reasons why we are able to keep the prices as they are for 2026.
Benefits to you:
More climbing for your kids! We have been running year round kids club sessions at Volume 1 Climbing for the last 4 years and we have found that the kids progress so much faster by climbing consistently every week. In the past we found that after any holiday break, the kids would really struggle for the first couple of weeks to get back to where they were. By climbing every week, they were able to maintain the consistency and keep progressing in the sport.
Consistent schedule: Having the same schedule every week means there is no more checking the calendar to try and work out if the sessions are running.
FAQs
-
Yes, all of our kids clubs will run every week of the year, with the exception of when the centre is closed (Christmas opening times, special events etc.). If we are unable to run a session you will be credited for that session.
-
We have priced our kids clubs that you only pay for 4 sessions in a month, regardless of how many weeks there are in that month. This means over the year you get a minimum of 4 free sessions. We have built this in to our pricing as an understanding that there may be some weeks that you are unable to make the club but this way you have some flexibility.
Alternatively if you are going away for a long time, you can just cancel your membership. However, we are unable to guarantee a space will be available when you return but will always do our best to accommodate.
-
We understand that sometimes things get in the way and it may not be possible to attend every session. We have therefore factored in to our pricing and over the whole year you only pay for 48 sessions even though we run them every week of the year. This means that you technically get 4 free sessions over the year.
-
In the past we have been quite relaxed about offering credits for sessions that have been missed. Our costs sadly do not change whether a child is on session or not and any refund or credit issued reduces our ability to meet that cost. We have however factored in a buffer in our pricing that means you get a minimum of 4 sessions free due to the way that our pricing is calculated.
We will however do what we can in exceptional circumstances such as serious injury (broken bones etc.).
-
Only in exceptional circumstance will we allow this. This is to ensure that the group dynamics are as consistent as possible to help with the development of all of the children in the group. This will also only be possible if we have space on the other course, which is unlikely due to how popular the clubs are.
-
Providing we have space then this is not a problem to change days/clubs, however please be aware that due to the popularity there is limited availability and your old slot will most likely be taken quickly.
-
You can cancel at any point providing you give us at least 2 weeks’ notice before the next billing date (the 1st of each month). If you cancel, your space will then be open for someone else to book as sadly we can not hold spaces due to restricted numbers. To cancel please email brighton@high-sports.co.uk
-
Due to the limited number of spaces on our kids clubs, unfortunately we are unable to hold spaces for those who are going away for long periods of time and not paying

Yes! We have a bolt on option that is just £12 for under 8s and £13 for over 8s. This means you can bring them in as much as you want and supervise them yourself outside of club times. (Access to the centre outside of club times is subject to our usual entry requirements such as passing safety test etc.)
-
Yes this is not a problem, payment will need to be made at the start of each month to our reception team.
-
Yes! With our new pricing structure, we also offer a parents membership at a heavily discounted rate of just £35 per month, which is a 50% discount on our standard membership. This will give you all the benefits of our normal monthly membership.
We also have a sibling membership for those not on a club but would still like to climb. This is just £25 per person.
(Access to the centre outside of club times is subject to our usual entry requirements such as passing safety test etc.

When our clubs are not at capacity, we may allow occasional single session bookings for kids that have attended the club in the past. However, this will only be bookable on a week by week occurrence and spaces will be limited due to the popularity of our clubs.
