Under New Ownership

We have big news!

Many of you may have noticed lots of work going on behind the scenes recently, which has all been leading to this moment.

After 31 incredible years, it's with a heavy heart that we say a fond farewell to the original owners of High Sports, Paul, Kathryn and Michael, who have poured their heart and soul into building and growing High Sports into the community we all love. Thank you once again for your incredible vision and commitment in creating the legacy that is High Sports. We are also saying goodbye to our amazing Operations Manager, Fran, with our thanks for everything she has done behind the scenes to keep us climbing.

As with any change comes new beginnings, and we’re delighted to welcome our new owners, Ben and Katie of Volume 1 Climbing. With fresh energy and a shared passion for climbing, we’re excited for what the future holds under their leadership.

Now, a few words from Ben and Katie themselves: 

"We are really excited to be starting this new chapter of our life and feel incredibly thankful to be given this opportunity and entrusted with the future of High Sports.

High Sports has already played a very large part in the journey of Volume 1. It is where Ben began his career in climbing and where we as a couple met. To be taking over the ownership of the company feels like we’ve come full circle.

We want to assure everyone that although there will inevitably be some changes, we will be doing this as respectfully as possible and not rushing any of these decisions.

However, we can say with confidence that the core of the business will not change. The name, offerings and staff will remain the same but with this new partnership with Volume 1 Climbing we believe this will bring some great opportunities to existing and new customers of both businesses.”

We understand with this change will come with lots of questions, which we are happy to answer whenever you visit, however we would like to reassure you that High Sports will remain as 'High Sports' and continue to deliver what we do best, excellent climbing in a passionate community!

So here’s to the next chapter at High Sports, same walls, new heights.
